Hi, I’m Hannah and I’m the “She” in She Wanders Photography. I’m a wedding, elopement, and portrait photographer. Capturing life’s biggest moments as a career is, to say the least, pretty frickin’ cool. especially when you include two people who are mad for each other twirling around on a mountain and sipping champagne. I've always loved taking photos. my brand consists of creating photos that spark deep joy, sprinkled with ridiculously happy moments on and off camera. im not going to stop a beautiful moment to create a pose or move you for better lighting- i believe in capturing raw emotion and real moments. warning: ugly crying behind my camera is to be expected from me if you book me for your wedding.

what’s your story:
I’m a midwest girlie, the 2nd youngest of 7 siblings, with 2 wildly in love parents who showed me the meaning of real love. i’ve been a professional photographer since i graduated high school in 2015, and loving every minute of it. although my definition of home is scattered throughout the globe, I now live in Grand haven, Michigan soaking up every drop of lake air. (They do say the great lakes are for lovers)
HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR STYLE?
photography stYLe: I’m a candid gal. i give instruction when needed, but I prefer to capture moments and people as they truly are. I’ve really gotten to like the term “storytelling” when describing my style. It’s not just about creating beautiful, candid images- I want my clients to be able to relive their day/session as if they were there all over again every time they look through their gallery.
editing style: i love dramatic, yet timeless edits - Take a quick scroll through my work and I hope you get a taste of the magical moments I have been fortunate enough to be a part of.
clothing style: vintage/thrifted. the older i get the more i dislike buying brand new clothes. You can find me deep in the aisles of the local thrift store. I like to have fun with my clothes too, anything to get a cute insta post, right?
WHAT’S YOUR BEST TRAIT?
in a word, passion. I am a bit (probably more than a bit) of a drama queen, but that really ends up playing to my advantage with my job because it allows me to get emotionally invested with each client i work with and every photo i take. not to brag, but i am just a genuine chick. what you see is what you get. looks wise, i think i have my mom’s pretty smile and cheek b0nes. :)
WHERE IS YOUR FAVORITE PLACE IN THE WORLD?
I’ve traveled far & wide, even to greece, and each trip was unreal… i road-tripped 16 hours along the east-coast which was ~unreal~. I’ve been to so many national parks on the west coast and each time was (you guessed it) unreal. But the place that makes me emotional just thinking about, gives me the best vibes all around, and that im constantly planning a trip back to would be the heavenly state of colorado. being there gives me an indescribable feeling of warmth (internal warmth- she’s actually pretty chilly in the mountains). I feel like im home when im there. just know if i ever move again, you can find me tucked away in colorado springs.
WHAT’S YOUR COFFEE ORDER?
iced (always iced. always.) oat milk latte with a tiny pump of vanilla in the biggest size they offer. specifically from my hometown coffee shop, Cabin fever coffee. if you’re ever in defiance, definitely stop in.
WHAT MAKES YOU HAPPY?
as cheesy as it sounds, i love to collect moments that take my breath away. i get an overwhelming feeling of happiness and satisfaction when i get to see something that is so beautiful; it brings me to tears. i look back through photos and videos probably average once a day from my travels and life that gave me that feeling. its where my inspiration comes from. on a lighter note… sushi.

you’re on a long road trip- what are you listening to?
Music turned up as loud as possible. specifically Post malone, billie eilish, and the lumineers (honorable mention to taylor swift). preferably with the background sound of wind coming from the windows that are always down.
